30 Days Left
Today officially marks 30d says until my due date, which means baby is right around the corner. I’m now going to the doctor’s office every week and our house is in the final steps of prep. It’s equally exciting and terrifying.
Way Too Hot
We went from two weeks of near-constant raining to Florida-level heat here in North Carolina. Wednesday had a high of 90 degrees. Normally, high heats don’t bother me much, as I’m cold natured, but being 30 pounds heavier than usual and not being able to fit into any of my shorts or tank tops has not made it easy.
Space Force
This week, I tried out the new Netflix show, Space Force. The farcical drama features Steve Carrell and is packed full of subtle humor. It’s not the laugh out loud funny I was expecting when I picked out the shower, but it is excellently made. I plowed through it in just a day. I highly recommend it.
Happy and Healthy Kitties
After having both cats home for the whole weekend, we had to take them back to the vet on Monday to check if their kidney levels had risen. Luckily, everything seems to be completely normal and they were given the all clear. It’s been a huge weight off our shoulders.
#BlackLivesMatter
Like many of you, I’ve been strongly affected by the protests and rioting going on around the county. It should go without saying but the deaths of George Floyd and similar cases we’ve seen time and time again are inexcusable. My heart and support goes out to all those on the streets right now, putting themselves at risk to share their voice. I hope this message will not fall on deaf ears yet again and that we’ll finally start to see some change.
