Welcome to the Why I’m Not Writing This Week series!
If you’re not familiar with this series, just know that the only thing writers love more than writing is avoiding writing. And I am definitely no exception. Today, I’ll list five things that distracted me from my writing this week.

Merry Christmas!
A very merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates the holiday. We’ve had a great time so far, visiting some family in our “bubble”, opening Arthur’s first Christmas presents, and taking a TON of pictures.
6 Months Old!
In less than 2 weeks, Arthur will already be half a year old. Time is flying faster than I can follow. He’s finally gotten the hang of rolling over and can almost sit up by himself.
Bluey
Our new favorite family TV show is this adorable animated series about a Blue Heeler dog named Bluey! Bluey is simple and short enough for Arthur to follow along, but funny and mature enough that Daniel and I still laugh out loud almost every episode. The show also gives us some great ideas for playing with Arthur once he gets older.
New Office
For my Christmas present this year, Daniel worked for weeks on converting the shed in our back yard into an office space. It’s finally done and it’s absolutely beautiful! I still need to make some finishing touches but I’m looking forward to getting some work done in this new space.
Rest
While I have been doing some revisions on my current WIP, I’m taking a small break through the end of the year. I’m looking forward to relaxing, spending time with my family and coming back to it with fresh eyes in the new year!
