Writer Spotlight: Sheri Jacobs

Sheri Jacobs is a full-time middle school teacher, professional voiceover artist, and a commercial and theatre actress. She uses her gifts as a public speaker and comedic storyteller to help men and women feed themselves on a diet of fulfilling relationships. Her writing accolades include a published children’s book called Dream Write aimed at showing kids how to turn fear into empowerment. Sheri is also a two-time finalist in THEMA’s short story contest and received Honorable Mention for a short story at Glimmer Train Literary. Find out more at www.sheri-jacobs.com.

In her new book, Sheri Jacobs invites you to view your intimate relationships as a diet. Using a rather humorous monkey and some fun food analogies, she changes the way readers think about relationships. Sheri challenges the cultural norms of treating dating like a buffet line. By achieving proper care and feeding of oneself, Sheri shows you a simple solution to avoid lackluster relationships.

The Friendship Diet spotlights the emotional void we often feel in intimate relationships and offers a game-changing perspective rooted in nurturing your own soul first. Sheri explains why a Happy Meal doesn’t make a very good date—while one might experience some short-term happiness, the long-term effects are negative.

It doesn’t matter if you’re married or single, male or female, The Friendship Diet is a fresh viewpoint that will make the difference in how and who you relate with from this point forward. Sheri explains, “The most important source of sustenance is the relationship we have with ourselves.”

Understanding yourself is the path to understanding others and building relationships that give rather than take away. Join Sheri in this fun and insightful journey through love, desire, and self-worth to becoming a better version of you. This is your opportunity to discover what you’ve been looking for in your most intimate connections.
