Why I'm Not Writing This Week 3/6
Welcome to the Why I’m Not Writing This Week series!
If you’re not familiar with this series, just know that the only thing writers love more than writing is avoiding writing. And I am definitely no exception. Every Friday, I list five things that distracted me from my writing this week.
I encourage you to share with me your reasons for not writing every week too and I’ll share my favorites in the latest edition.
Hello March!
February is officially over and March has come. I’m really looking forward to winter being officially over too, and moving on to March is one step closer. I also have some exciting plans later in March and can not wait!
Baby Madness
This week everything has been about baby-to-be it seems. I went to a new mother’s convention with my mother-in-law over the weekend to get information on products and local services. I took another pre-natal yoga class, plus had another check-up. And, my husband and I started our baby classes this week. It’s been a bit exhausting but also exciting.
#PitMad
#Pitmad happened yesterday on Twitter and it’s always such a great community event. I didn’t get any bites from agents this time, but I’m not worried about it. This new book needs a bit more work until I’m ready to send it out to agencies, and the feedback I’m getting from these events is instrumental as I fine-tune the manuscript.
Virus Prevention
With the growing concerns over this year’s flu strains and the recent discovery of the COVID19 virus in North Carolina, there have been a lot of talks of virus prevention procedures both at my home and at work. Thanks to the baby on the way, we have to be very aware and careful. Hope you all are also staying healthy and safe!
New Piano
We’ve been talking for a while about getting a piano for our living room and it finally happened this week! I took classes for most of my childhood and have been missing having the instrument around. I’ve gotten to play it a little bit already and am so excited with how much I remember and still enjoy.
