Why I'm Not Writing This Week 1/12
Welcome to "Why I'm Not Writing." We all know that the only thing writers like doing better than writing is avoiding writing. So every Friday I list five things that have distracted me from my writing that week.
I also encourage you to share with me what made you procrastinate this week by posting with #whyimnotwriting on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram, or share in the comments below. I'll feature my favorites with everyone here.
SO COLD!!!
In the last week, North Carolina has spent multiple days below freezing. Some of you in the Northeast or Midwest may laugh at me for complaining about this, but that never happens here. We have a few cold days, but usually, we stay in the mid-30s to 50s until March. Our house has two space heaters and a wood stove, but we still couldn't get our little old home above 65 degrees. I really can't be expected to write in these conditions.
300 Facebook Followers
This week my Facebook page hit 300 followers! Thank you to all of those who follow and support me there. If you don't already, head over and hit "LIKE" !
Parks & Recreation
It's my fifth time watching this series all the way through and I'm not even ashamed. It's Daniel's first time watching it consistently, though, and he's more addicted than I am. I keep catching him watching it without me.
Upcoming Monday Blogs
For the next five Mondays, I will have guest blog posts from other writers as part of my 2018 Blog Tour. Keep your eyes out for some new and exciting content from new authors. If you haven't already, make sure you subscribe by typing your email into the bar to the right here. That way you'll be the first to know when new content pops up!
New Hampshire Bound...
Today me, my husband and my parents are going from 50 degree North Carolina to 10 degree New Hampshire to celebrate my graduation from the Mountainview MFA program. Despite the cold, we're looking forward to great food, great wine, great writers and maybe a little bit of skiing.
