Why I'm Not Writing This Week 11/27

Welcome to the Why I’m Not Writing This Week series!

If you’re not familiar with this series, just know that the only thing writers love more than writing is avoiding writing. And I am definitely no exception. Today, I’ll list five things that distracted me from my writing this week.

I encourage you to share with me your reasons for not writing every week too and I’ll share my favorites in the latest edition.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, either spent with your family or celebrating virtually from home. We’re very lucky that our bubble includes family members that we felt safe spending the holiday with.

Arthur is Growing

Arthur is almost 5 months old now! He’s gone through multiple growth spurts and has even started eating solid foods. He had so much fun trying sweet potatoes at our Thanksgiving get together.

Christmas Season

With Thanksgiving over, it’s time to jump into the Christmas Season. I don’t typically get too excited about the holidays, but my husband and I decided to make more of an effort to get into the spirit this year. So we’re making plans to buy and decorate a tree with Arthur over the weekend.

Getting Colder

Temperatures have been dropping recently where we live. I’m a cold-natured person normally, so I’m miserable in the winter. It’s a struggle for me to get myself out of my warm covers in the morning and even more of a struggle to convince myself to do much other than drink coffee and cuddle.

Revisions

Over the last month I’ve been slowly but surely working on revisions for a book I’m hoping to query next year. I’ve hired an editor and have absolutely loved working with someone this time around, as opposed to going it alone. I’m really excited to start sending this project out into the world.
