End of Year Check-In
At the beginning of the year, I set 5 goals for myself this month. While the year isn’t quite over yet, we’re close enough that I wanted to check in and see how things went.
1. Read. Read. Read.
My goal was to read a Young Adult fantasy book every week this year. So far, I’ve managed to read a book every week, but it’s been pretty exhausting. As much as I love reading, this schedule didn’t leave much room for relaxing or vacations this year.
2. Write. Write. Write.
This year, I challenged myself to write 3 hours every week, no including work I do for clients and on my blog, here. I don’t think I was able to achieve this but I definitely did a lot of writing this year, winning NaNoWriMo and two Camp NaNoWriMos, so I’m pretty happy with my progress this year.
3. Writer's Blog Tour
At the beginning of this year, I challenged myself and other bloggers to join me on a blog tour. I gathered more than 20 others bloggers and we shared guest posts and content with each other, which filled my content calendar through the first few months of the year. Thanks bloggers!
4. Expanding Services
A huge goal for me this year was to grow my business, adding one more services and clients. This was a definite success! I’ve tripled my clientbase this year and added on additional services, such as writing coaching and website design.
5. YOU!
Finally, in 2018, I wanted to get more in touch with you, my readers. My readership has certainly grow over the year, with more visits to my website, more followers on Twitter and Facebook, and more subscribers. However, I’d still love to be more engaged with all of you this year and will be seeing what I can do to accomplish that next year.
